our mission

Our mission is to create a culture of ecological inquiry that reconnects all humans to the wholeness of life on our planet, in the community, and within ourselves.

OUR Vision

Our vision is of a neighborhood farm as laboratory, meetinghouse and heart home, inviting the community to explore and change our food and social systems through experiential, collaborative, intercultural learning.

OUR

WORK

Located in the heart of Meiners Oaks, the most densely populated neighborhood in the Ojai Valley, we are a 4-acre regenerative learning farm within walking distance of over 2,500 students attending 11 schools. We work to awaken curiosity, connection, and meaningful learning through growing plants and raising animals on our biodiverse farm.

In the last eight years as a for-profit, we have seen the power of this work but also witnessed the clear limitations of this financial model. To create access for all and begin to meet the valley’s overwhelming demand for farm-based learning, we have chosen to become a nonprofit. We now provide free programming for all Ojai Valley schools as well as by-donation after-school programs, camps, and workshops. The farm donates thousands of pounds of produce annually, grown by learners and our team to organizations like HELP of Ojai and Ojai Unified School District to support local families facing food insecurity.
